AI optimisation

Customers are no longer only researching businesses on Google. They are using AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and other tools to compare options, ask questions and shortlist providers – so I help you understand where your brand is visible, where it is missing, and what needs to change across your content, website, trust signals and external mentions.

AI optimisation framework

I use a practical six-step framework to audit and improve how your brand appears across organic search and AI-driven discovery surfaces.

1. Market analysis

Where are your customers looking?

The first step is to understand where your customers are looking for you, your services and the problems you solve. This can include Google Search, Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, LinkedIn, Reddit and relevant industry forums.

2. Brand visibility review

Brand presence across surfaces

Next, I review what AI systems and search surfaces understand about your brand. Are you named in AI-generated answers? Are you cited as a source? Are you included in comparison and buying queries? Are your services, locations, people and key entities clear across Google and the wider web?

3. Content audit

Content optimisation

Full setup and optimisation so your products surface on Google Shopping and AI surfaces where shoppers are looking.

This includes content structure, headings, answer-led sections, original data or perspectives, internal linking, topical coverage and clear prompts around the questions your customers are actually asking.

4. Trust and credibility

Trust signals

AI systems need clear signals that your business is legitimate, experienced and relevant. I review the trust signals around your brand, including E-E-A-T, named authors, verifiable credentials, consistent messaging, reviews, business information and relevant schema markup.

5. Links and citations

Authority and citations

As with SEO, your brand’s authority is shaped by what exists outside your own website. I review backlinks, brand mentions, citations, reviews, Reddit, forums, LinkedIn, industry websites and other credible sources that help search engines and AI systems understand who you are and why you should be trusted.

6. Implementation

Technical foundation

To improve visibility across search and AI surfaces, your website needs a solid technical foundation. AI bots need appropriate access, priority content needs to render properly, HTML should be structured semantically with logical headings, and schema should provide a clear semantic layer for additional context.
