I have worked with New World for many years across a wide range of SEO campaigns. Often, it is the fundamentals that move the needle most. This project brought the eCommerce, Product and Development teams together to improve Organic Search performance for New World online shopping.

I was tasked with increasing visibility for the eCommerce website across Google Organic Search and Google Organic Shopping.
The goal was to improve the wider online shopping environment, surface more categories and products, and drive a significant increase in Organic Search visits.
Reworked the foundations of eCommerce SEO
Over several months, I worked with the eCommerce team to redevelop how products were categorised, so the site better reflected how shoppers searched.
At the same time, I worked closely with the Product and Development teams to improve the website and Merchant Centre product feed, making it easier for Google to crawl, index and surface the right pages.
Product categorisation
We redeveloped how products were grouped and surfaced, so the site better matched real shopper search behaviour.
Technical SEO
We improved key technical elements across the eCommerce website to support better crawling and indexation.
Merchant Centre feed
We improved the Merchant Centre product feed to support stronger visibility across Google Organic Shopping.
More products surfaced through search
The work focused on the foundations that make eCommerce SEO perform: clearer product categorisation, stronger technical SEO and a cleaner Merchant Centre product feed.
Together, these improvements helped more New World online shopping categories and products become visible across Organic Search and Organic Google Shopping.
